The development of the Hermès & Luxury Bags prestige auctions at the Hôtel Hermitage in Monte-Carlo reflects Artcurial’s determination to make the Principality the reference venue for all luxury-related sales. Combined with the Jewellery and Watch Collection sales, Artcurial has created a unique prestige event in Monaco, the place to be for connoisseurs and collectors from all over the world.
The quality of the selection offered and the sale of bags and accessories of impeccable provenance are what make these auctions so successful. The sale of classic Birkin and Kelly models, collectors’ items or special orders, is the scene of often spectacular auctions. The department has achieved some remarkable results: a Birkin 35 in Indigo crocodile was sold for €50,700 in 2018 and a Kelly 40 representing Princess Grace Kelly went for €104,000.
The Online Only sales offer a wide selection of fashion pieces, from Louis Vuitton trunks to Chanel accessories and Yves Saint Laurent creations. These thematic sessions combine historic creations with the latest trends.
In 2022, the department achieved the best result for the sale of a vintage couture collection in France by auctioning Didier Ludot’s collection, which totalled over €1m.

Over €14M for the Monaco Auction Week sales
The Monaco Auction Week sales, which was held from 16th to 19th July 2023 at the Hotel Hermitage in Monte-Carlo, were a resounding success with Artcurial’s Jewellery, Watches, Fashion & Luxury Accessories, Post-War & Contemporary Art and, for the first time, Design departments all shined on the French Riviera, totaling over €14 M.

Artcurial is back on the Riviera
Artcurial is back on the Riviera for the summer, at the Hôtel Hermitage, from 16th to 19th July. The Important Watches, Jewellery, Hermès & Luxury Bags and Monaco Sculptures departments and, for the very first time, the Design department, preceded by public exhibitions, will hold auctions with lots selected to appeal to collectors and enthusiast.
Haute Couture in the spotlight with Didier Ludot
On 26th January, during the Paris Haute Couture week, Artcurial, in collaboration with Christie's, presented Didier Ludot's collection entitled My Secret Fashion Show. The entire collection totalled €1,047,539 and achieved the best result for the sale of a vintage couture collection in France. The sale was greeted by numerous pre-emptions and purchases from prestigious cultural institutions and Haute Couture houses.
Artcurial returns to Monaco in January 2023 for its traditional prestige sales
From January 14th to 18th, Olga de Marzio, Director of Artcurial Monaco, and the house’s teams have once again taken over the legendary Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo for the traditional prestige sales of High Jewellery, Fine Watches, Le Temps est Féminin and Hermès & Luxury Bags.

While Paris Fashion Week was in full swing, Artcurial was not left on the side-lines with no less than three sales featuring legendary names in fashion: Karl Lagerfeld, Charlie Le Mindu and the emblematic House of Chanel.

During the Paris Fashion Week, Artcurial auctioned on 5th October 21 works of Haute Coiffure created by Charlie Le Mindu throughout his career.
The “Blonde Lips”, a true masterpiece worn by Lady Gaga in her “Bad Romance” video, were to be discovered.

Nearly €20M for Artcurial’s Monaco Auction Week!
For its legendary Monaco Auction Week in Monte Carlo, which took place from 15th to 21st July, Artcurial brought the week's sales at the Hôtel Hermitage to a magnificent close, dedicated to Jewellery, Watches, Hermès & Luxury Bags, Comic Strips and Monaco Sculptures. Numerous records were set and attracting international collectors.
Catherine Deneuve : Vente au profit des Restos du Cœur
From 7 to 14 September, Artcurial’s Fashion & Luxury Accessories department offered for auction nearly 125 pairs of shoes signed by some of the most renowned fashion houses. Worn by the famous French actress during the highlights of her career, she decided to support a noble cause by donating all the profits to the Restos du Cœur organisation.
100% of lots sold for Kenzo Takada’s original creations
The Creations by Kenzo Takada Online auction, which took place from 3rd to 12th May 2021, featured kimonos, boleros and coats by the fashion icon. These unique pieces, which reflected a subtle balance between East and West, were a major success with 100% of the lots sold.
