From Friday 30th June to Saturday 15th July, Artcurial is presenting a cultural exhibition in Paris entitled Stéphane Guilbaud and Deborah Chaney, Two lives dedicated to printmaking, which highlights the exceptional careers of these two printers. Since 1979, Stéphane Guilbaud and his wife Deborah Chaney, a graduate of the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, have been working respectively in Paris and New York, bringing their expertise and passion to the art of printmaking.

This exhibition takes a look at their respective careers as printmakers, complemented by a selection of their recent prints. It's an opportunity to discover artworks from their personal collections, produced in the various workshops where they worked over the years.

Around seventy prints have been carefully selected to represent the diversity and quality of the work produced throughout their careers. Among the artworks on display, you'll be able to admire early artworks by great artists such as Francis Bacon, Zao Wou Ki, Chu Teh Chun, Zhang Xiao Gang, Balthus, Olivier Debré, Corneille, Pierre Alechinsky and many others.

A film will also be shown revealing the printmaking process with the artists, offering a fascinating insight into this artistic technique. A printing press will also be on display, giving visitors a better understanding of the tools and methods used by printers.

The exhibition pays special tribute to Art Spiegelman and his publisher Michel Edouard Leclerc (MEL Publisher), highlighting their influences and contributions to the printmaking.
