With more than 400 lots, the sale will feature letters, complete works, manuscripts, original editions and illustrated books. In particular, a set of Marcel Pagnol's letters will be on display, providing a precious and intimate testimony of the Provençal filmmaker's work, from his first successes to his post-war films. A large selection of books dating from before and after 1800 will also be presented, with some very fine pieces such as an important princeps edition of the Complete Works of Saint Augustine, published under the direction of Erasmus, or a rare copy in a very rare cardboard of L'Île mystérieuse by Jules Verne illustrated by Férat. This rare binding makes the copies covered with it real treasures for lovers and enthusiast. Unique pieces will also be auctioned, such as the stained parchment covers signed by Picasso and Iliazd and an autograph manuscript signed by Jean Jaurès.
