The highlight of the upcoming Scandinavian Design auction is one of the most important pieces designed by the Tynell couple. The table on display is a unique piece, made in 1949 by Paavo Tynell from his metal of choice: brass.

The decorations on the top were designed by Helena Tynell, who has always been inspired by nature and animals in her work. The table was made by Taito Oy for Finland House in New York City. It is the only piece of furniture by Paavo Tynell from this commission to surface on the market.

The table will be offered under lot 60 in our Scandinavian Design auction on January 11^th, 2023.
