Fine Wine & Spirits Online Only Sales: How to bid?
 

How does an Online Only sale work?
The sale will be held exclusively on the Artcurial LiveBid platform, accessible from Artcurial’s website on which you will bid.

1. Login on Artcurial’s website
Log in to your account on artcurial.com or create your customer account with an email address and a password.

2. Register for the sale
Click on “Register to bid” and enter your payment details. Please read the conditions of purchase carefully before confirming.

3. Bid
Enter the amount of your maximal bid for the lot. A chart indicates the bidding levels to follow and the purchaser fees (25.2% including tax and VAT).
Please note that you have by default a bidding limit of €7,500 for the total amount of your purchases. Contact the Bids Office as soon as possible to unlock this limit. You will be asked to provide proof of identity.

4. Purchase orders
The system will progressively bid on your behalf respecting the bidding increments, up to the amount of your orders. Please indicate your maximal bidding limit to let the system bid for you.

5. Reserve price
The reserve price corresponds to the amount below which the seller does not wish to sell the lot. If the reserve price is not reached, you will be informed by email.

6. Buyer's premium
The purchaser’s fee is 25.2% including tax and VAT

7. Closing of the sale
The sale ends at 10am on the last day. The platform will then auction each lot at the rate of one item per minute. If your lot is not auctioned yet, you still have the possibility to outbid. Each new order starts a 5-minute countdown while bidders can overbid.
